The Case for Christ

Image
Have you ever wondered what type of investigative work went into writing a book in the Bible? We know that God is the One who was the author, using men as His personal ink pens to convey the message that He wanted all of humanity to read. However, the men that God used also played their part in the process, by doing intensive research in order to put all that God was showing them down on paper for the whole world to read. If you would like to find out more, please listen to this past Sunday's  message from Bible Fellowship Church, titled, "The Case for Christ" .

ADVENT 2014

Image
Please join us on Sunday, November 30th, at Bible Fellowship Church for our first message of ADVENT 2014.

Peer Pressure can lead to Compromise

Image
The fourth life-lesson we learned from Nehemiah last Sunday, was in order to have an Unstoppable Faith, we cannot allow PEER PRESSURE cause us to compromise our walk with God, or His plans for our lives (Nehemiah 6:17-19).

allow noone to DISCREDIT you

Image
The third life-lesson we learned from Nehemiah on Sunday, was in order to have an Unstoppable Faith, you cannot allow others to DISCREDIT you (Nehemiah 6:10-16). Are there areas of your life right now that could give the enemy an opportunity to discredit your witness for Christ? At home? In the workplace? In your private life?

Stay Focused

Image
The second life-lesson we learned from Nehemiah on Sunday, was in order to have an Unstoppable Faith, we must stay FOCUSED on God’s calling for our lives (Nehemiah 6:5-9). What are you focused on in life right now? A good way to figure this out is to look at how you are investing your time and resources. Are you investing in God’s kingdom, or in your kingdom?

Just say "NO"

Image
The first life-lesson we learned from Nehemiah on Sunday was in order to have an Unstoppable Faith, we have to be men and women who have enough courage TO SAY NO! (Nehemiah 6:1-4) Are you a person who has a difficult time saying “NO” to others? If so, why? How can Ephesians 4:25 encourage you in this? If you do not have difficulty saying "NO" to others, you might be someone who tends to be to straight-forward. Has that ever caused you to come across harsh with others? If so, read how Jesus interacted with the Rich Young Ruler in Mark 10:17-22, and how the rich young ruler went away sad (v.22). There is a key word (love) used in (v.21). How can that encourage you in your conversations?

Refuse to Give up!

Image
This past Sunday we looked at the book of Nehemiah and how Nehemiah had an Unstoppable faith. One of the over-arching themes of Nehemiah’s life was his trust in God. In order to have an Unstoppable faith, we have to be men and women who REFUSE to give up! Are there areas of your life where you have given up on what God was calling you to do? If so, how has that impacted your life? Have there been times when you refused to give up on what God was calling you to do? If so, how has that impacted your life?

Do you have a CLEAR VISION for your Family?

Image
Have you ever thought about the fact that vision fuels our world?  Vision is essential for businesses to be successful, and accomplish the goal of any organization. P rofessional sporting teams have a vision statement. Olympic teams have a vision statement. The Local church has a vision statement. College Students, Teachers, News Stations, Hospitals, Doctors, Lawyers, Accountants, Business men and Business women all have a vision for their life. In fact, I think it is safe to say that any person or group of people who seek to accomplish something meaningful in life has a vision for what it is they want to accomplish, and a mission for how they plan on accomplishing it.  Everywhere we turn in life, we have vision statements to keep us on track. We do this so that we can stay focused in accomplishing what we have set out to do. What About Our Marriage and Family? However, when it comes to having a clear and attainable vision for the most important area of our li...

Putting the STEAM back in Marriage

Image
Last night our Family Life group at Bible Fellowship began a 5-part study, titled “Happily Ever After?” which is a series that is designed to strengthen our marriages. Sometimes it can feel as if our marriages have either ran out of steam, or are at least in serious trouble of running out of steam. Our energy level can be depleted, and for some, an ungodly frame of mind can begin creeping in where Satan begins whispering the all-familiar lie, “Life is so much better on the other side of the fence.” This frame of mind can be a very attractive, but destructive carrot that dangles before us in our lowest moments. I am sure there are some who are reading this that can testify to the truth and the power of this reality. What can we do stop this negative momentum, and combat the lies that Satan whispers in our ears during the difficult seasons of our marriage life? Or if you are blessed and doing well in your marriage, what can you do to protect yourself and your marriage from ever tr...

This Sunday at BFC

Image
Please join us this Sunday at Bible Fellowship Church, as we study the Book of Zephaniah.  Zephaniah was a prophet that God raised up in order to proclaim the coming of the Day of the LORD . Zephaniah’s prophetic message pointed to the coming judgment of God upon Judah at the hands of the Babylonians, while at the same time it points us towards what the New Testament refers to as “the great and awesome day of the Lord” (Acts 2:20), when Jesus returns to straighten out this messed up world we live in (2 Thessalonians 1:6-10). Bible Fellowship Church is located at: 26835 Columbia Ave Hemet, CA  Servie Times:  9:00am/ 10:30am

Sunday's Sermon "Knowing Jesus…"

This past Sunday's sermon at Bible Fellowship Church, Knowing Jesus and Making Jesus Known , is now available to listen to online.

Knowing Jesus and Making Jesus Known

Image
Knowing Jesus and Making Jesus Known The primary vision behind the Christian faith can be simplified down to the following statement; "to KNOW Jesus and to make Jesus KNOWN."  Knowing Jesus and Making Jesus Known, that’s really what our Christian faith is all about.  The verse that has inspired the first part of this this saying “ to KNOW JESUS and to make Him Known”, is found in Philippians 3:10, which illustrates the apostle Paul’s heart for wanting to know Jesus more and more through pressing on daily in his relationship with Him. Paul tells us in Philippians 3:10, “that I may KNOW Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.”  This was Paul’s greatest desire in life, to become more like Jesus... by being conformed into His image, and the only way that this could take place was if he continued growing in his relationship with Jesus. In fact, Paul would continue on in Philippians 3, by saying...
