Born to Praise (Jeremiah's story)

My wife Lyndsey and I have been so blessed to see how God has given our little boy a heart for worship. As many of you know, we were told in October of 2001 that it was impossible for us to ever have our own children, and then in October of 2011, almost 10 years to the date, God showed us once again that "Nothing is impossible for God!"

 One of the cool things about our story, is that the night before we found out we were pregnant, the Lord gave both my wife and me prophetic dreams that we were pregnant. Then when the doctor confirmed the next morning what God had shown both of us in a dream the night before, we were overwhelmed with joy and in awe of God. Our first response to this news was to cry, and then to worship the Lord. I picked up my guitar and we both worshipped the Lord to the Chris Tomlin version of "Our God." Throughout my wife's pregnancy, she faithfully prayed for Jeremiah to be a worshipper of God, and she use to play Chris Tomlin and Jeremy Camp worship music to Jeremiah, which would cause him to dance for joy in her womb. 

 It is unbelievable to us that by the time he was 18 months old he was already singing 8 different songs! Mind you, his pronunciation still needs work, but there is no doubt that he is singing and dancing his little heart out to Jesus, on songs like, Awesome God, Jesus Loves Me, The Good Song (All things work together for Good), Trust in the Lord, to name some of them.

 In the following video, we were actually getting ready to sit Jeremiah down to read before his nap, but Chris Tomlin's song, Our God, came on the music channel, and Jeremiah couldn't help himself. He burst out singing and dancing, and it blessed us so much that we wanted to share it with you to hopefully put a smile on your face. 

 We also hope that as you remember Jeremiah's story, that you will know that His God "is Healer" and that his God is "Awesome in Power", and his God is real, and wants to show Himself strong on your behalf, just as He has shown Himself strong on our behalf.

What is godless chatter? The term godless chatter is used by the apostle Paul when he exhorts Timothy to, “Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly. Their teaching will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus, who have wandered away from the truth. They say that the resurrection has already taken place, and they destroy the faith of some” (2 Timothy 2:16-18, NIV). Knowing Jesus and Making Jesus Known The primary vision behind the Christian faith can be simplified down to the following statement; "to KNOW Jesus and to make Jesus KNOWN."  Knowing Jesus and Making Jesus Known, that’s really what our Christian faith is all about.  The verse that has inspired the first part of this this saying “ to KNOW JESUS and to make Him Known”, is found in Philippians 3:10, which illustrates the apostle Paul’s heart for wanting to know Jesus more and more through pressing on daily in his relationship with Him. Paul tells us in Philippians 3:10, “that I may KNOW Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.”  This was Paul’s greatest desire in life, to become more like Jesus... by being conformed into His image, and the only way that this could take place was if he continued growing in his relationship with Jesus. John 5:1-15   I.                 Introduction:  Jeremiah’s faith a.      The reason I have that slide up of a blue car, is because last October around Jeremiah’s 7 th birthday, Lyndsey was sharing a heartwarming story with me about a conversation she had with Jeremiah that day. You see, Jeremiah had asked her for a stamp, and when Lyndsey asked him why, he said, “I want to mail a letter to the car people.” Lyndsey didn’t think much about it, but then a couple hours later she found the envelope, and she asked what it was. She said to Jeremiah, “It feels like money is in the envelope.” Jeremiah said, “It is money.
