ADVENT 2014

Image
Please join us on Sunday, November 30th, at Bible Fellowship Church for our first message of ADVENT 2014.

Peer Pressure can lead to Compromise

Image
The fourth life-lesson we learned from Nehemiah last Sunday, was in order to have an Unstoppable Faith, we cannot allow PEER PRESSURE cause us to compromise our walk with God, or His plans for our lives (Nehemiah 6:17-19).

allow noone to DISCREDIT you

The third life-lesson we learned from Nehemiah on Sunday, was in order to have an Unstoppable Faith, you cannot allow others to DISCREDIT you (Nehemiah 6:10-16). Are there areas of your life right now that could give the enemy an opportunity to discredit your witness for Christ? At home? In the workplace? In your private life?

Stay Focused

The second life-lesson we learned from Nehemiah on Sunday, was in order to have an Unstoppable Faith, we must stay FOCUSED on God’s calling for our lives (Nehemiah 6:5-9). What are you focused on in life right now? A good way to figure this out is to look at how you are investing your time and resources. Are you investing in God’s kingdom, or in your kingdom?

Just say "NO"

Image
The first life-lesson we learned from Nehemiah on Sunday was in order to have an Unstoppable Faith, we have to be men and women who have enough courage TO SAY NO! (Nehemiah 6:1-4) Are you a person who has a difficult time saying “NO” to others? If so, why? How can Ephesians 4:25 encourage you in this? If you do not have difficulty saying "NO" to others, you might be someone who tends to be to straight-forward. Has that ever caused you to come across harsh with others? If so, read how Jesus interacted with the Rich Young Ruler in Mark 10:17-22, and how the rich young ruler went away sad (v.22). There is a key word (love) used in (v.21). How can that encourage you in your conversations?

Refuse to Give up!

Image
This past Sunday we looked at the book of Nehemiah and how Nehemiah had an Unstoppable faith. One of the over-arching themes of Nehemiah’s life was his trust in God. In order to have an Unstoppable faith, we have to be men and women who REFUSE to give up! Are there areas of your life where you have given up on what God was calling you to do? If so, how has that impacted your life? Have there been times when you refused to give up on what God was calling you to do? If so, how has that impacted your life?
